The Perfect Tonic

Andy Wilsher Sings has been fortunate enough to perform in a number of care homes and retirement homes across the UK. The organisations that book us appreciate how much live music can act as a tonic – it never fails to amaze us how much the residents and guests enjoy the performance.

The classic sounds of the Rat Pack and Michael Buble get everyone’s feet tapping and we always love to see residents, guests and staff get up for a dance too. Whether it’s for a birthday celebration, an event being held by the home or just because you want to make everyone smile – a performance by Andy Wilsher Sings boosts everyone’s spirits.

Andy often receives positive feedback about how much he interacts with his audiences and how this sets him apart from other performers. This fun and friendly interaction is always well received by the audiences we perform to in care homes and retirement homes.

The people we perform to often reminisce about certain songs – music has a great way of taking you back and unlocking memories. There is even evidence to state that music can be a great form of therapy for Alzheimer’s patients – it can help to improve moods, encourage social activity and reduce stress*. If you work for a care home or retirement home, or you have a friend or family member living at a home that you know would love an afternoon or evening of live music, contact us today!
