The Ultimate Wedding Checklist

Let’s face it, planning a wedding can be stressful. With so much to remember, stepping into the unknown territory of wedding planning can be daunting.

Andy Wilsher Sings has provided exceptional tribute acts to Brides and Grooms across the UK during their wedding receptions, first dances, wedding breakfasts, reception drinks and even to walk down the aisle to. So, we know a thing or two about weddings. That’s why we have compiled our take on the Ultimate Wedding Checklist. This isn’t a list to check you’ve remembered to buy your wedding dress and book your venue – we’re confident you’ve got that covered. Our list is more about the bigger picture…

1) Be organised from the off….

Organisation tools such as wedding planners, folders and checklists will become your friends! Use the many tools available in today’s world to help you make your arrangements. Bridal magazines, blogs and social media groups contain lots of fab ideas to get your creative juices flowing too, so be sure to check some out early on.

2) Accept help…

You don’t have to do it alone! Delegate tasks, discuss ideas, ask for recommendations and let your friends and family support you. Ever heard the expression ‘the more the merrier?’ That can apply to wedding planning projects too.

3) Get everything in writing…

Don’t leave anything to chance… Make sure your venue confirmation, transport booking, suit hire reservation and anything else is confirmed in writing! Top tip – it might be worth investigating wedding insurance too.

4) Your way…

Your wedding, your way (or as Frank Sinatra said, “I did it my way”). Don’t conform to traditions or outside pressures if it’s not what you want. This is your special day so if you want to do something a bit out of the ordinary – go for it! Stay “Strong” (as Robbie Williams once said) and you’ll be “Feeling Good” (or so Michael Buble tells us).

5) Check, check and check again

As your big day comes closer make some time for a bit of double checking. If for no other reason than to put your mind at rest so you can really enjoy your wedding, it’s worth a few calls and emails to check plans and arrangements with wedding party members and suppliers. Then relax and….

6) PARTY!

Once all the formalities are finished it’s time to let your hair down and party. You’ve certainly earned it! Filling the dance floor at a wedding isn’t always an easy task – you might have guests of all ages and with varying taste in music. That’s where Andy Wilsher Sings comes in…. His varied tributes to the Rat Pack, Michael Buble, Robbie Williams and now his new Swinging Sixties Soul set – there really is something for everyone. Andy’s ability to connect with the crowd and get everyone in the mood for dancing is what generates all his rave reviews – read them for yourself on our website. Add to that our fully manned disco or even our professional dancing Show Girls and you’ve got yourself a wedding celebration to remember!

Each and every wedding is unique and wonderful in its own way. Andy Wilsher Sings has had the privilege of performing at hundreds of weddings – you can check out just a few of the pictures from previous weddings and events here or contact us to find out more.
